We have been eating and visiting this establishment for over 20 yrs. We have used them for catering on several different occasions, some happy and some sad, but this time we were celebrating my daughters 40th birthday and the food was phenomenal !!! Everyone had a few servings and there was no talking, just pure enjoyment. Their food is delectable!!! Nothing went to waste and I was very sad when it was over. We visit Portofinos often. I decided maybe I should write a review. For dinner it is best to make a reservation. Today we were at Barts Mart which does not have food, so we order the California Cheese Steak and a side of fries. We used Spot On to order. Click order on their Google maps entry. I walked from Barts to pickup the order. My wife and I split the sandwich, had a few fries and took the rest home.
As a south Charlotte kid I've enjoyed Portofinos ever since it opened in the arboretum. Was very excited when I moved and found out I was down the street from this one. Original and best. Always great. 12 years of happy moments for me and my family had here
Incredible service. Our water and soda glasses were never low. Wine and beer refills were offered timely. The food (party of 8, variety of pizzas and entrees) was all delicious. Some of the best pre-dinner bread I've ever had. Highly recommend the white pizza with spinach.
I'm giving this establishment a 5 star review. We had Laura and Yvonne wait our table and they were awesome. I ordered a medium white sauce pizza with spinach and it was fantastic, the crust was thin, light brown and perfectly done,oh- and it came freshly made and hot. My friend, she had the special for lunch which was the spinach and chicken linguini or was it lasagna, I honestly don't remember but she said it tasted great and hers came out nice and hot. The Atmosphere was quiet, relaxing and enjoyable. It was nice to come into the area where they seated us and saw a woman sitting by herself and having a glass of wine. It was overall just great and on our way out some gentlemen at the front counter had asked us if everything was alright and we told him it was fantastic. I hope y'all enjoy Portofino's as much as we did. We got great service from Yvonne and Laura so if y'all get Yvonne or Laura waiting on you, please remember to be kind.
This restaurant was absolutely delicious! I had the shrimp parmesan, and it was full of flavor—every bite was perfect. I also tried the bruschetta, and it was super fresh and delicious—so good that I only had one piece left before realizing I forgot to take a picture! Definitely got into greedy mode there, lol. The restaurant had plenty of seating, and the atmosphere was clean and welcoming. Everyone in my group loved their dishes as well, and we all left satisfied. I’ll definitely be back soon to enjoy more of their amazing food! Highly recommend!

A Charlotte Favorite!!!! Authentic, flavorful, Italian staples. Must try the Chicken Spinach lasagna, it will have you cleaning the plate with bread. I have been going there years ago when I lived there and made it a must stop on a recent trip. Delicious as always!! The only caution is they do not change meals to vegan or meatless.
